Welcome!
Professionally speaking, I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as my Masters in Reading Instruction, and English Language Learner Endorsement from Aurora University.
Technologically speaking, I have been fortunate to have access to a number of technology tools, and implement them daily within my classroom. In previous school years my students have utilized IXL, MyOn, RazKids, and FrontRow daily to practice both math and literacy skills using both iPads and laptops. My second grade students published and shared their work using our class Canvas site, as well as a number of other word processing and photo apps.
District 203 is in the final stages of implementing our Digital Learning Initiative. During the 2017-2018 school year all students in grades 2nd-12th will be 1:1 with Chromebooks, and students in K-1st grades will be 1:2 with iPads. I am very excited about this process, and can not wait to utilize iPads within my kindergarten classroom. During the upcoming school year I am eager to utilize both Canvas and SeeSaw within my classroom, as well as a variety of educational literacy and mathematics apps. Stay tuned for my students and my favorite apps!
